MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped him break into mainstream Latin music. In 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. In Medellin, Sony's La Industria Inc. released ADN the debut album of his long-playing career. Its Top Latin Albums chart ranked ADN at the 8th spot. Vaina Loca was an instant Top Five hit for Ozuna and him the year after. He was a part of the team together with Noriel in the song Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and in the year following, he released his sophomore album the chart-topping Dopamina. In 2021, he appeared in a duo with TINI to perform her online song Maldita Foto. 2000 also saw the huge hit La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo came from a musical household his mother and older brother are both musicians. Turizo has told interviews that music is a must. When a young boy, he studied the guitar and saxophone. Although his first career choice was that of veterinarian, his brother Julian encouraged him to start learning to sing with a Cuban. It revolutionized his entire life.
